Gettysburg Cyclorama, Designed by Richard Neutra

This is the first photograph posted in this section of Gettysburg Photographs and Notes. The photograph is of the ramp leading up tho the observation deck of the old Cyclorama Building in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, which the National Park Service no longer uses and intends to demolish. The building was designed by Richard Neutra, a leading American architect and is considered by many an important example of architectural design and should be preserved. I am personally fascinated by the lines and shapes that make up the structure which make it so interesting to photograph.
